Yes. Definitely. I just always ask because I’m a big hugger, but a lot of the people I know are really not touchy-feely, so they don’t want to be hugged, even in bad situations. So I always ask unless I’ve been given free hugging privileges.
I’m not Catholic, but I think when a “huggy person who asks first” dies, they should be automatically canonized as saints. You guys are magical and rare like unicorns.
