I get the feeling it’s more of a slow down and think moment. If they both still feel the same way after they’ve stopped, then away they go.
It’s an extremely sensible approach to life when there are underlying trigger risks. These two obviously have really good awareness of their personal challenges.
I’m sure I’m not the only person who has absolutely no clue where this is going. I have some rough ideas based on my knowledge of Charlie and Jamie’s character development (plus the list of dos and don’ts from the end of their first side story) but it’s still ALWAYS a toss up with these two.
I guess I’ll just wait and see instead of constantly speculating and being horrified at some of the possibilities while being enticed at others. Yep, I won’t think about it at all until the next update, I’ll just let Tab finish before I let my imagination get away from me.
… Okay, too late, imagination unleashed. Fuck. ;_;
I miss his long hair as well, and his hmmm, well.. he was so skinny then, and now he has those broad shoulders and all… I’m a bit sad that all the guys in khaos are built the same way :/ Except for Murf, maybe…
Hehe, I had actually read his autobiography a few years back. He made that quote because at that time he was sort of a big figure in androgyny in the US and while he wasn’t hiding the fact he was gay to many people, his public image was that of someone could careless.
He was quite the scamp though. It’s actually a pretty interesting read if anyone can find it. He met so many famous people before they were famous and ran amok during the punk age.
Teabag in the bag doesn’t necessarily mean it’s herbal. My great-grandfather would apparently let his tea steep for a while and drink it with the teabag still inside, lol :).
I think half the cafeteria heard me snort my coffee when I read Jamie’s first line.
Thanks Tab, now my imagination is gonna run everywhere it SHOULDN’T be while I try to get through classes! Or maybe it should be there… Meh, it goes where it wants.
Eee, Charlie’s over-the-shoulder smile is so cute! And Jamie, you might want to breathe at some point. Oxygen is good for you and may help with that red ear issue. Hehe.
Milk tea? Virtually everyone in the UK who drinks black tea has it with milk, that’s just how things are. I’m not sure what it’s like where you’re from, but…it’s kind of awkward having someone going, “Uhmahgawd, look at how different those crazy Brits are!”
Are you sure Sliversith isn’t also British and pointing out their own lovable stereotype or something? From the way they wrote it, it came off to me as more of a “hahah, one of us!” sort of thing… I mean, for example, I’m American and obsessed with tea, and I have a British friend who jokes that I should be British or move there. I don’t think it’s really a “hahah, look at those silly OTHER people” joke.
What I mean to say is, when someone jokes about a regional stereotype or common trait (one that isn’t negative), it’s usually people from that region doing it.
Milk in tea is also fairly popular in iced Asian teas, at least from what my friends tell me. And Americans are known to do it too, so I’m not entirely sure milk and tea is that different of a combination?
charlie’s place, right? does she keep milk in her fridge just for jamie’s tea or are we rolling with the idea that she lives with JD, in which case, she’s just take some of theirs. hmmm.
Sorry for commenting a second time, but I just realized something.
Why is everyone assuming Jamie is using cow milk? Or any animal milk, for that matter. Maybe he’s being respectful of Charlie’s preferences and using soy/rice/almond milk! Almond milk can be really good in tea. :)
That’s a fair point. From what I remember of working in a vegan store, soy milk is not always up to task only when added to coffee (the acidity and heat of coffee makes it curdle on contact, apparently).
And not-cooked soy milk isn’t very good for guys as it contains phyto-oestrogens….. and totally mess up with “hormonal cycles” when taken for a long time.. (I guess years of frequent use of it but it may take fewer than that, I don’t really know)
Almond milk can taste great in teas actually! She could like it with certain kinds, or have a roommate who consumes dairy (which could or could not be the speculated JD).
wait, whut? I thought there was going to be discussion of feels?

That kiss…..<3

…I kinda miss Jaime’s long hair… But they are so cute. Yay for relaxing with tea~

*her. Jaimie is a HER. And NOT a guy.
Ähm, I don’t know but if I’m not to far mistake of the story is Charlie the `her`and Jamie the ‘his’ like dude, mate, bloke…(i think you got me)
(Lé writing as if ever some one will read this and comment it further… ;))
Boy George once said, “I would rather have a cup of tea than sex.”
Charlie would rather have a cup of tea, THEN sex.
Hooray for punctuation! And of course, proper use of similar-sounding words. **Nodnod**
could boy george have been asexual?
[TRIGGER WARNING]
Didn’t he get arrested for trapping a prostitute in his basement/sexual assault or something?

So we learnt something important. Jamie has milk in his tea. I assume Charlie drinks herbal tea since she still has a tea bag in it.
Charlie’s vegan, so no milk. I’d guess it’s green tea.
Charlie loves green tea – this was canon back in Charlie and Jamie’s stories.
Charlie’s vegan? I thought she was just gluten free?
She’s both. Remember Tom’s comment on the cupcake she had at Amber’s party – “gluten free, and the only creature injured in its making was Alex”
Teabag in the bag doesn’t necessarily mean it’s herbal. My great-grandfather would apparently let his tea steep for a while and drink it with the teabag still inside, lol :).
Yup, my dad drinks tea with the teabag in, sometimes two if there’s another one going spare. I’ll leave the bag in depending on what tea it is.
Hahaha aw man, love Jamie here.
I think half the cafeteria heard me snort my coffee when I read Jamie’s first line.

Ha… Jamie drinks milk tea. Now THAT’s British

Gosh they’re cute <3 and so sensible!

Charlie living with JD? Are we… crossing over the Kimpton-verses???

Just the thought of curdled soy milk makes me gag a little. I can’t imagine what horrible smell that might produce.
And not-cooked soy milk isn’t very good for guys as it contains phyto-oestrogens….. and totally mess up with “hormonal cycles” when taken for a long time.. (I guess years of frequent use of it but it may take fewer than that, I don’t really know)

Tea fixes everything!!!
Well… it does in my life. :p
