Hey AMERICA! I’m considering attending FlameCon in New York on Saturday 13th June. However it’s a really long trip so I was wondering if any of you were going? I’d love to meet some of my overseas fans and while this is a small con it’s a LGBT focused comic event and it piqued my interest. Anyway here’s a fancy poll thing:
Can anyone recommend any US cons I should check out, preferably as a trader/artist? A chance has just come up for me to travel to New York this summer, either in July or September. It might be too late to sign up to many of them but I’d love to give it a go as most of my fanbase are from the US. Any conventions that are particularly good for LGBT comics would be fantastic, also hot damn a chance to meet all the US folks I’ve been chatting to all these years!
I’ve been quiet about this because I didn’t want to jinx it, but at the beginning of march I’ll be packing up my house, chucking my stuff into storage at my parent’s and beginning my journey up north! (I’ll be moving Huddersfield/Leeds way for those of you who are interested.)
Obviously the less stock I have to move the better, so I’ve discounted some end of line t-shirts to a holy-shit-get-it-outta-my-house-price of FIVE POUNDS, and you can get a further 10% off everything in the store with the voucher code MOVINGDAY. Just enter it in at the checkout before you go to paypal/card details.
Included in this deal is a box of Tom T-shirts I found- there’s only a couple of sizes left, though you can cut them up to make your own custom punk T-shirts/Hoodies like the kind I used to offer.
Cheers for any help with this everyone- I’m super excited to be moving, but also a bit terrified because arrgg being an adult. Updates should continue as normal during the awkward in-between houses time, it’s just that ordering in the shop will slow down depending on which city I’m in.
xx Tab
I’m getting ready for a new convention season- which means a big old t-shirt order has just arrived! A bunch of people requested smaller Lucie Decline the Asexual Succubus T-shirts, and while I can’t get gildan to make an XS, I have managed to stock a Ladies fit Small and Medium. These shirts have a slimmer waist, shorter body and cuter sleeves- and fit tiny human beings! Also in the order were a bunch of Fabulous shirts, a restock of the classic ‘I like men in a gay way’ and the ‘I Am A…’ Shirt now comes in Sweet Sappho that’s Pretty Damn Pink!
All the t-shirts are £15, and shipping is combined by weight so you get the best price!
Some of you may have noticed some site tweaks- I’ve made the menu at the top better and changed the side bar to be a bit wider to accommodate a side banner as opposed to square ads. If you find anything going wrong or some site suggestions please let me know!
In convention news I’m off to Birmingham MCM comic con this weekend. I’ve never done this show before so it would be lovely to meet some new people!
There I’ll be selling the brand new Shades stuff as well as British Yaoi, but if you’re separated from me by land and sea you can also grab the new stuff in the online store.
