I’m trying to think of a suitable sound effect for the jerking of Sir’s arm in that last panel, but everything seems too crass. Any suggestions?

Maybe just have him panting?
Yeah, I think that could work. I also think it needs that audio clarification, as I didn’t quite get that detail from the last panel before reading the description. Also, panel 2 is beautifully drawn. That vest, mmm.
I think removing the hnnn from jefferson to keep the sounds organized, and then perhaps:
above jefferson’s head mmmm…
and then a tiny pant in between sir’s arm and his face, and a couple more tiny pants leading down in that lovely bum space.
and now my punnish brain is thinking of tiny pants floating in space…. yeaaaaah….
definitely the sound of panting, not actual pants :-D

Stroke stroke?
Jefferson’s ‘rummage’ on panel 2, page 4 of “A Cream Tea” is one of my favorite sound effects – for this comic and in general. Maybe this is one of those situations that also merits a descriptive rather than ontomatopoeia-ic sound effect, perhaps a pair of words, one to go above the elbow and one below? The only ones I can think of at the moment are slip/slide and yank/thrust, but I’m also not feeling very literary this morning.

And what, does the sound change as they grow up? I’ve never been a teenage boy, so I wouldn’t know ;)
It just becomes deeper and more mellow with age… like a fine Whine or a decent Whimper :p
