Dag nammit everytime I see his phone my nerdy samsung fanboy side comes out and just goes “OOOOH I KNOW THAT MESSAGING INTERFACE.” and then I feel deeply ashamed of myself for geeking about it.
Haha I appreciate the interface too. I’m still confused about what Tab meant by compiling different pictures/images/screen caps to create images of the phone interface though.
“and the internet said…”
Oh Anwar :P
I’m not really criticizing or anything…I go to the internet for stuff that I’m not all that familiar with too. I just think it’s funny.
Of course, the real question is if that explanation is real (especially consulting the internet…I thought his 90s movie knowledge would have made that unnecessary) or if he just needed a way to suggest an outing so he could talk to JD.
On a related note, I’m wondering where this conversation will go. It seems Anwar wants to get something out in the open (either that he saw JD in the scene or that he was uncomfortable…maybe even that he still has feelings for them?) but I wonder how he’ll approach it. Hopefully in a straightforward/honest way in which he can explain his feelings but not in a passive aggressive way that might make JD feel blamed. After all, in this instance they were at a kink club and though no one will force you to look at anything, when you enter one you are pretty much consenting to the possibility of seeing and/or hearing things you may not especially want to see/hear.
I kinda thought he was being funny/ironic. Like “Oh, haha, I’m so inept at this whole relationship thing I need the *Internet* to tell me to buy him a gift.” (The implication being that it’s such a simple idea anybody could think of it: of course you don’t need the Internet to suggest it to you!) But I might be reading him all wrong. :)
I assumed it was more of a thank you gift for looking after Anwar while he was in a mess, which of course ‘war couldn’t, and shouldn’t tell JD, hence the inept excuse.
Of course, the jury is still out on whether Anwar really is capable of being that self-aware.
Honestly, whenever I’m lost and not sure of what to do in social situations I tend to go online in search of answers. I hear there’s a YouTube series called “How to Adult” that I’ll probably check out.
Dat face in the first panel though! Adorable. Though all set up for awkward conversations.
Oh ‘War…I can never decide if I’m really frustrated with him or I really feel for him.

Hehee, love the little tongue sticking out the mouth.
Thoughtful/concentrating face!
Oh mah gerd I didn’t notice that before and cracked up when I scrolled up to see what you meant XD
I can see JD and Anwar in the food court panel. :)

*mental image of ‘War turning up at Chris’s work singing “I love you baby” a la 10 Things*
HAHAHA “I love you baaaaaby♫”

That makes sense.

Wow, anyone else think that the “God rays” shining through the skylight are a bit too much?
