Shades After 045
Sorry about the cliffhanger everyone- I can guarantee there are no deaths/major injuries in this comic so never worry about that!

I’m pretty sure i’ve have said something similar when talking to someone while stressed.
Caffeine high.
Caffiene highs fot everyone! *hands out coffee*
Hm. This idea may backfire…
You know sometimes its fun reading things when you have dyslexia, you get to read exciting things like ‘I can guarantee there are deaths/major injuries in this comic so never worry about that!’…
I read that too!
Now that is a mom who dearly loves her child. Even if she is still learning how to accept a part of his life.
And that’s how I know his mom is gonna come around, because she clearly loves her son more than she cares about her preconceived notions of sexuality. People can change. Anwar needs to know it’s not him that’s fucked up, it’s society’s incomplete notion of sexual orientation
The thing is, that’s not always true. I mean, my mom loves me plenty, but she has said multiple times that polyamory is a reason to be concerned about me, not a part of my identity that deserves acceptance. It’s entirely possible to love someone and still want to change them. I’m really glad that isn’t the case here, but it’s certainly not out of the question as far as things that happen go.
I’m so glad she said that. I was worried she was taking it badly, and Anwar looks like he needed that reassurance too.
Mum-war is awesome. The fact that she’s trying to understand her son, and coming to understand that pressuring her son to fit her expectations of him was doing more harm than good shows just how much she loves her son.
I wish there were more people in this world like her.
Mum-war is officially my new name for her. I need a day in the life of Mum-war comics akin to Steves dad. Mum-war goes shopping! Mum-war watching her stories! Mum-war attempting to knit and not getting it quite right so she just casually tucks it under a couch cushion and forgets about it!
I love Anwar’s squishy face in the second panel.
oh yes, squishy-face Anwar is great (and one of the things I love about this comic, Tab draws people as flesh and blood)
I think she’s coming around. I like this.
