Anwar’s choice here is a very sweet one that doesn’t compromise himself and is caring to Chris. He’s growing up so much! *wibbles* And Chris is awesome!

I’m not sure if Tab mistook “retaliate” for “reciprocate”, or if Anwar, having been exposed to S+M, can’t tell the difference. ;-)
Or if he’s just stumbling and picking a not-quite-right word on the spur of the moment, as people are wont to do.
I think he’s using JUST the right word – he’s being funny and honest, in a subtle way. Or, at least, that’s how I read it
Out of curiosity, and I know that there are exceptions to every rule, but do asexuals get pleasure out of masturbation, even if it is purely physical? Or would someone with similar tendencies as Anwar not feel any urge to do so?
From what I understand, some asexuals (some of whom can possibly identify as greysexual, I think) do participate in masturbation, but I think it’s still completely different from wanting to have someone with someone else for them? (Granted, I’m a cis straight woman, but that’s what I’ve read.)
And I think from the way the comic has written Anwar, it seems he doesn’t have any urge to do so. This could change, however. Just because we haven’t seen it YET doesn’t mean it won’t happen later or something?
Yes, there are asexuals who masturbate and find it pleasurable. Like a lot of sexuality, it’s a spectrum, so you do get some asexuals who won’t masturbate and some who will. For me, as an ace/gray-ace, it tends to be private and not something I want to share.
Whether or not Anwar masturbates is a personal question that holds little relevance to his relationship with Chris. If he masturbates (and he may not), it’s not something he does with others. Maybe that will change during his relationship with Chris. However, we saw with JD that Anwar enjoys his partners pleasure and gets something emotional out of it, but doesn’t care for reciprocation, even to the point where it causes an unbalance in the relationship and conflict.
Also, there are asexuals who do have sex. While this sounds like a contradiction, it helps to sometimes separate attraction and behavior. Same goes for masturbation: it’s not necessarily about attraction, but an action/behavior used as a release.
And, to add onto this, I’m actually a cis straight woman who doesn’t masturbate, just to further show how stuff like this can be very, very broad. I don’t masturbate because it doesn’t do anything for me at all. So someone who’s ace masturbating really isn’t weird; everything is kind of a spectrum with this.
See, I’m a cis grey-ace woman who does masturbate, because it gets rid of the annoying hormone urges that come with being ace with a stupidly high libido. (I HATE HORMONES) So to me, while I do think of fantasies I have just to help get the act over with faster, I’m more attracted to the theory of it, not the actuality. Which means, in plain speech, fantasies are nice, real thing not so much. (interesting fact, anyone in my fantasies is just a generic person, not anyone I actually know, which shows it’s just a puppet for me essentially)

I hate feet. They have the be the grossest body part. I understand and accept that there are people who like them, and that’s fine. But it kind of makes me gag just to think of them…

me too, except, due to my own feet pain, I don’t appreciate them that much, since anything can trigger the pain, even with my custom orthotics on. (and without them I would be unable to work. Thank goodness for modern medicine)
