Tom’s last speech bubble says it all, I think. He was justifiably scared for Charlie, and now that she’s fine his fear has nowhere to go so he’s being an asshole instead.
Trauma. And for Tom, his trauma is directly associated with the fear of Charlie getting hurt. Jamie’s become associated with that fear, not unlike how for Jamie, gay sex or sex he sees as gay is associated with rape. The difference is that Jamie has been processing and trying to cope with his trauma and how it affects others, while Tom is just acting out and being a shit. That doesn’t excuse Tom’s behavior, but I think it’s important to understand why he’s the worst version of himself whenever Jamie’s involved
Also Tab basically declared Tom to be in hero complex mode by putting a Batman shirt on him. It’s a good metaphor too, because shirts are something you put on and take off (and in this case hopefully get rid of). Tom can be so much better, he’s just not right now
Alex is so cute. Just friends with everybody because he doesn’t judge.
tooooooooooooooooom! why come on tom
He’s worried about Charlie’s safety and even more so worrying he might be losing her

That was very insightful, thank you.
I don’t understand why this suddenly went awkward. Tom seemed decent, now he’s kinda basically being awful.
