That last goddamn panel breaks my heart every time because of how true it is.
I’m a bit of an outlier to the LGBT group. Not liberal, I’m not dysphoric, and I’m perfectly fine being gender-flexible. But I understand the feeling of needing to be how you feel inside.
And yes, there is a sense that people will reject you, but it is worth it to feel like your authentic self.
As a side note, a decent hear salon can turn even a short haircut into something cute.
