I have absolutely nothing against Trans* folk, and this NEEDED to happen, and I’m really glad for Tom that he could do this, but coming out of the closet as anything ALWAYS feels like “3… 2… 1… KABOOM!” Whenever I’ve done it, anyways. And doing it like this feels a bit like, well… “RELEASE THE KRACKEN!”
I probably didn’t need to explain all that, but it’s best to be safe on the Internets, especially on things this emotional.
Also, I love this story and reading it helps me understand my Trans* friends a LOT better.
Sometimes it’s hard to face a person – especially when you’re not ready for it – on both sides…
And hey! The i-net can be a nice semi secure place because of its anonymity…
