We are seeking submissions from artists, writers and teams for 11-21 page long comics ready for two polyamory anthologies for a joint Kickstarter launching Summer 2024.
Why choose? We’re launching two books, one suitable for all readers from 12+, and another with the saucy adult content our previous anthologies are known for.
Feast: Polyamory Comics
Greed: Sexy Polyamory Comics
Our theme is fantasy: magic multiples, fairytales of perfect triads, queer creature communities of all kinds… and those kinds of fantasies too. We want tales exploring and celebrating consensual non-monogamy, while still showcasing the struggles, hardships, and obstacles that can come with entanglements with multiple adventurers.
We encourage unique takes on the fantasy genre, and our quest is to create as much polyamorous representation as we can stomach. Feed us unconventional unicorn hunting, thick as thieves throuples, moreish magical metamours, gelatinous polycubes…and for our sexy book Greed, dazzle us with secret sexy sorcerer societies, opulent orgies, dragon queens with partner hoards, anything for 18+ adventurers to get their greasy mitts on.
CREATORS
We’re looking for:
Creators/full teams to provide both art and story.
Script writers to work with one of our selected artists.
Artists to work with our selected script writers.
We are a comics only, no prose anthology, however to help provide opportunities to a wider number of voices, we’re also looking to help team up writers and artists. All applicants must be 18+ and are accepted worldwide but stories must be understandable to an English-speaking audience.
We’re particularly looking for:
- Creators who identify as non-monogamous or polyam-spectrum, though ‘lived experience’ isn’t a requirement.
- Black, PoC, Indigenous, Disabled, Intersex, Ace/Aro, Trans Women, or Trans Feminine spectrum story writers for this anthology, as they are particularly underrepresented in own voice comics, as well as characters on those spectrums.
Creators Get:
- Writers £150 flat rate with potential increase with Kickstarter stretch goals.
- Artists £70 per page rate with potential bonuses with Kickstarter stretch goals.
- Artist/writer creators £150 flat rate + £70 per page with potential bonuses with Kickstarter stretch goals. (If you’re a complete team it’s up to you to split your money yourselves)
- 30% royalties for digital sales post the kickstarter to be split evenly between all the stories.
- 4 free comp copies of the book, plus you can buy more at 50% retail to sell yourself.
- We want exclusive publishing rights for 1 year, then you can do what you want with your story.
- Payment after successful funding of the book Kickstarter. If funding is unsuccessful we’ll use digital sales to make sure everyone gets paid instead.
STORIES
We want:
- Unique takes on the fantasy genre which at least loosely tie in with our titles Feast and Greed.
- Stories that explore sex/relationships/body diversity in ways you rarely see in mainstream comics or erotica.
- Stories more than just threesome fantasies: while triads happen, stories with less represented non-monogamy, like single, branch & polycules are neat and we want to see more of them.
- Light hearted romps, comedy and adventure, as well as messy and sad stuff also sorely needed.
We don’t want:
- Cheating stories, consensual arrangements only
- Auto-bio, fan-art, previously used characters, or something that blatantly just reuses your DnD campaign. While we appreciate autobio and the creativity of DnD adventures, we need original stories.
- Smug “polyamory is the only way to do things and monogamy is abusive” stories
- Raceplay (IE cuckolding) and don’t use fantasy races and settings as a clumsy metaphor for real world racism
- Underage characters in sexual situations, and even in the all-ages book we would prefer main characters to be 18+.
- No non con, no excessive gore, no bestiality (any monsters must be able to consent to being fucked)
ABOUT THE BOOK
- UK Standard size (240x157mm or 9.5×6 inches)
- Full colour, but using a splash of red somewhere in Feast and splash of Gold in Greed to keep the comics feeling like part of the same book.
- Length TBC. We want a range of 10-20 artists but it depends on the length of stories submitted.

SUBMISSIONS

ABOUT THE EDITORS
Sfé R. Monster is an award winning trans & queer Canadian comic maker; creator of Beyond: The Queer Sci-Fi & Fantasy Comic Anthology, and Beyond: The Queer Post-Apocalyptic and Urban Fantasy Comic Anthology, as well as their webcomic Eth’s Skin. A writer, illustrator, and editor, they have been published by Dark Horse, The Nib, Iron Circus, Harper Collins, and the CBC.
Roving the shoreline, Sfé spends their time making stories about monsters, feelings, love, and soulmates, while tending a heart that can never be moved too far from the sea.
Tab Kimpton is the co-editor and fulfilment manager of previous Discord Comics anthologies. This queer shapeshifter and comic artist will use admin magic and previous kickstarter quests to bring this double whammy of polyamory representation to the table.
Previously exploring polyamory in comics such as Shades of A, Minority Monsters and Sir, Butler & Boy, Tab attempts to fill in the gaps that slip down the cracks in the LGBT acronym, especially for erotica.
