So, I know this is a comedy but. I get the impression that you are going for the “servants of god in charge of evil” model of hell and demons rather than the “renegade angels” model. Is that right?
I’ve never heard it described so succinctly! Demons are not fallen angels in this world, plus there’s a lot of stuff from classical myth that I’m also deciding to ignore + make new shit up
I believe the former model is the way mainstream Judaism sees things (or so a trainee Rabbi friend once told me). Which makes the book of Job make a lot more sense.
A chaos magician friend described demons as being “all about the deal” and Angels being god’s torpedoes/enforcers. In most stories they tend to show up either to carry messages or do a spot of smiting IIRC.
