Honestly, looking from a perspective outside of Theo & Gregor’s relationship, and thinking of Barb as kind of an HR person: it makes sense that she would object to Theo’s relationship with Gregor.
I think about if their positions were reversed: that a demon in the equivalent of Theo’s position was pursuing an angel in the equivalent of Gregor’s position. That relationship might absolutely be read as Demon!Theo taking advantage of (or trying to take advantage of) Angel!Gregor.
So it makes sense that a demon would read Theo’s relationship with Gregor as problematic, even though we readers know it isn’t that way. <3
Projecting much? ;)
Oh she doesn’t know the half of what the angel is bestowing upon Gregor.
I think she’s jealous as well as projecting.
