Our last two items are soft to the touch but each can be harsh in a completely different way. What’s your favourite safeword?
It’s the last week of the Sir, Butler and Boy kickstarter, ending Noon this Friday! Last chance to hop on board this sexy/smutty book. I’m still running the giveaway of the original cover art which you can enter on
Facebook,
Tumblr or
Twitter
I personally use “Red” and “Yellow.” I actually did not have a safeword at all until I read Shades of A, in which Chris uses “Red” and the comments explained that “Green” means it’s all good, “Yellow” means slow down or too hard or stop that one thing you’re doing, “Red” means stop everything right now I can’t continue. Now I’ve adopted it for myself! …. Or, I would if I actually did anything kinky other than fantasize and read sexy webcomics.

Same except I write them instead
Safeword for me (not in a sexual context though… yet) is used when things get out of control, to defuse a conflict growing out of proportion, to avoid words slipping out faster than thoughts and all. It’s “pancake”. And I can guarantee it has the best defusing effect possible : it makes us smile or even laugh, which ease things up instantly. Plus it brings nice and yummy thoughts so… haha
I’m sure I could/would/(will?) use it in a future-hypothetical kinky context. Looking forward to it ahah
I like “Comic Sans” as a safeword, as when uttered it makes everyone stop and burst into laughter, and I joke nobody would use it willingly unless in extreme distress.
But I’m also a big fan of POE (plain ol’ English), where “stop” means we stop (while reminding them that “ouch does not mean stop”).
“Bill O’Reilly”
We use “actually” as in “actually stop!”, or “for real”. I’ve been in relationships where “red” and “yellow” were used as well, which worked fine. And for hypnosis, wiggling your finger – since a lot of hypnotized people can’t easily talk or move.
