I love how awkward everyone in the last panel is, but there’s Raven just smiling and being all chill. I’m sure she realizes that Anwar’s just super duper nervous.

So somehow I misunderstood this at first thinking that Anwar was saying that he always asks nicely as a defense mechanism (nothing to be gained by being rude). I had to read this three times to figure it out and then I felt really stupid.

I did the same thing, don’t worry! And when I realised what he was actually saying, I started laughing. What *do* you say to someone saying they don’t bite unless you want them to? It’s so cliche I would have had the awkward reaction to *that* eesponse, not Anwar’s.

It’s rather amusing how, in the last panel, all the ladies have looks of distrust and disfavor while Raven is all cool and amused by Anwar’s quip. I understand the immediate “Wait…what??” kind of reaction to a quip when you’re not expecting it, but I don’t think Raven really minded ‘War’s nervous word vomit. I am excite to see interactions! And poor nervous Chris <3
Aww, and see I didn’t even think that was rude. I would have laughed at that, thinking he was joking (or a least non-threatening.) Then again, he didn’t shake the offered hand, so that could be construed as rude.
I think Anwar’s cute and hilarious, and now that he’s stuck his foot in his mouth, he can facepalm and get over it.
I actually like it – better to get it out of the way that he gets awkward and may well say odd things than to have him pretending at all suave and debonair. (I also don’t quite get disfavor from the last panel – just neutral expressions, maybe vaguely amused by how obviously Chris just took over to smoothe the way.)
I don’t understand how/why Anwar’s response made things awkward. Seems sensible to me. But then again I’m not good with sarcasm and I’m also told I’m weird.

Think about who he said too, and the setting they’re all in guys. :P That is an awesome response, and I mean the general tone of the conversation seems to be pretty casual, but still. lol
