Sir, Butler and Boy ~ A Spit Shine ~ Cover
This cover is based off brogue shoes, but brogues actually didn’t become a thing until the 1920s! It still makes a lovely pattern though (and a strangely phallic one too…)
Brogues were accordingly invented as a type of shoe for sports wear. The little holes gave ventilation and allowed water to drain out for hiking. It’s only recently they’ve been accepted as a formal shoe, and even then it’s frowned on for black tie events.
As much as I love the hand drawn look I’m not a COMPLETE masochist, so the dotted effects are all made using brush tools in both photoshop and manga studio. Imagine having to stamp all those little holes by hand.
haha footgear you say *sweats nervously*
I see them aglets you added to the scrolling as well ;) nice touch.
Jefferson is so beautiful… *sigh*
I love drawing Jeff as a subby sub- You don’t really get to see older/tall/skinny subs so it’s lovely to show him like this
Also, chest standing. *swoon*
Okay but can we talk about that dainty leg? That’s not John haha
Can’t wait to see how this pans out!
