Shades Of A 087
Thatchers Gold is a brand of cider- we had a lengthy livestream discussion on how to place the apostrophe. It depends on if there were several thatchers, it was based on the family name Thatchers or if it belonged to a thatcher.
Now to decide what outfit to put Chris in next. Answers on a postcard!
Aw, Chris and Anwar, so adorable together. :D
Hmm… according to the logo, there is no apostrophe at all – but that is branding for you.
Also, another thing Chris and I share – Thatchers’ is the best!
I suppose that’s the “based on a family name” option. It’s like Coors – It’s not that the beer belongs to “coor,” it’s that the name of the beer is Coors – with the S (Like Quintus or Caecilius, for any Cambridge Latin Series dorks)
OMG I’ve just been learning Latin via the Cambridge Latin Series. Caecilius est in atrio! Caecilius in atrio sedet!
Metella sedet in horto! Grumio placet ancillae xD Good times! How far in are you? If you haven’t gotten there yet, the end of Book I’s gonna kill you it’s so well done xD
Hm… I think Chris should be in a lovely girly outfit. It would suit him. Something in blue perhaps, or green.
PS: My Khaos boxset arrived and it is lovely. I just wanted to share that with you here :)
i am dying to see chris as sexy schoolgirl :) SO PERFECT for his hair!
Are those condoms being passed to Anwar by the bondage-clad individual?
And JD looks so dapper!
That’s a person paying for drinks.
Whoops >_<;; I looked like a pair of condoms to me
I also thought those were condoms, so it wasn’t just you.
P.S. My boxset came in yesterday – so excited!!!!!
I’m so glad it wasn’t just me confused on what was going on there. In my defense, certain other features of the panel were very distracting.
Very true!
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one. It took a couple seconds to realize that it’s probably boobies…I mean money. MONEY!
I’m a little confused about the dress code in this scene. I thought it was supposed to be a munch, which I’ve always assumed meant casual street clothing? Is it different in the UK? Or are they just having a munch at a kink bar?
My thoughts exactly. Course, I’m from a super conservative area. Maybe it wouldn’t matter so much in London/where this is set?
While I have only attended munches that are generally supposed to be street clothes, since they are located in non-kink locations i.e. diners, restaurants, bars and parks, there are a few that I know of (but have not been to personally) that happen in kink or sex-positive clubs. People are encouraged to come dressed however their inner kinkster prefers for those.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munch_(BDSM) Here you go :)
“While some munches remain traditional >asking that no expressions of identity be expressed<, others are open to the wearing of collars or pride emblems. Each munch is different and reflects the personality of the group that attends it."
That sounds…a little transphobic. :c
Don’t think it’s identity as in *you’re* identity, but as in something that would identify the group as being something Other. I’ve been to a few where folks will almost certainly be spotted there by colleagues or aquaintences who aren’t as open minded, and they couldn’t afford to go if being in the company of That Guy in his “I <3 spanking" T-shirt and collar would out them to folk who'll cause them trouble. If you'd wear it going out with non-scene mates, it's fair game, but tagging yourself also tags those around you, and no one has the right to out another (or exclude them because they choose not to be outted).
Ahh, my bad. You’re right that munches tend to have a more relaxed dress code. Problem is that openly kinky bar situations have different names depending on the location- ie SWAMP south west alternative market and party.
Ball gown.
I think just a smart blue dress to match Anwar’s contribution to dress code. They’d look really good as a matching pair.
Although of course, Chris wasn’t planning on ‘War attending until the “last minute”, so it might be a bit… overly fortuitous?
In hindsight I feel like I shouldn’t be surprised to see JD there. Why wouldn’t they go? And yet… surprise.
I’m having an off day, clearly.
He should be wearing a 1950’s pin up girl outfit, and whether that means a beautiful dress or something a little more scantily clad is up to you ;)
A Dirndl with Bluse (the best ones have impossible long links, sorry) They are made for people with stocky figures, sexying them up
I didn’t realise those had a proper name!
Chris should wear something green. For some reason I want to see him in something greenish (maybe due to him having red hair). I think if the dress was the right shade and style it could look really pretty.
Or in pinup fashion. With victory rolls and a black studded “leather” jacket.
Green would suit Chris’ complexion but unfortunately shades doesn’t have green in its colour palette. The entire comic only has 3 hues- orange, pink and blue. All the colours are created by adding various levels of black and white to those 3.
Hey, this comic is kinda openly related to the notorious book series, so is this legal-like, especially if you make money of it(?) ? :O Just curious :D
As legal as fifty sheds of grey-http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/0752265458
I… I don’t wanna know.
Also, the comment below. Bwahahaha!
Chris should dress up as Merida from Disney/Pixar’s Brave. He’s got the red hair thing going on.
Oh THAT I want to see
