Sir, Butler and Boy ~ A Tailored Fit ~ Page 2
It’s about to get rough between these two- the phrase ‘turn the other cheek’ comes to mind.

How very christian!
Maybe it’s just the fact I literally just got home from caucusing, but I *heard* that slap.
I find Panel 4 insanely attractive…
I’m rather liking panel 3. I love his expression there, and the fact more of his loosened hair is visible. I think everything about Jefferson’s face in panel 4 is hot.
That should read panel 3 not panel 4. It’s been a long evening for me, which seems to have removed all ability to count.
clearly, I could not count last night. I don’t even know why I bothered trying to comment. It *is* panel 4 where he’s all sexy-like. *sigh*
The eternal dilemma of being up late on a Tuesday or Sunday – do I treat myself to reading the newest page of Gay Buttlers or save it until I wake up in the morning? The agony of decision! The temptation! The…oh look, my browser seems to have made its way over here all on its own…
As a side note, I covet that rug so very, very much.
Psh. Everyone knows you save it for morning. *cough*
I know I’ve done well when people compliment the decor :D
Panel 4 has something of Benedict Cumberbatch :D
Haha, there is an actor he’s vaguely based on but he’s developed his own weird face in time.
His EYES in panel 4 though! Something about them…
I know, that’s what really got me. His expression, and those EYES.
Oh damn, that’s it. I’m in love. The fourth panel just solidified it.
Is this pre-Boy? They look a lot younger here?
Yikes! Wow, learned something new about myself. I bemused myself when my first thought on getting to panel 2 was “NO! we don’t hit people! Stop!”
Then seeing that look in Jeffersons eyes in panel 4 “Right, he wanted that, he likes that, god that is so strange, why would anyone enjoy being hit in the face? Pain hurts! Wait, just cause I don’t understand it doesn’t mean its wrong, strange or any other thing, I know this, why is this page affecting me so strongly”
And now I’m ruminating on the fact that when Sir first met Jefferson he removed him from a straight out impact play situation (that looked a mite too much honestly) and introduced him to more subtler, less violent, ways of experiencing pain. And it seems that his Dom-ness up till now has not been all that physical either. So, why the face? Why the smack? Is this part of their role play or is this an example of their first times playing with each other and establishing their boundaries and roles?
You do good work, Tab.
I think, with John, it’s very much a case of him knowing *just* what his sub’s limits are, and a sense of “playing by the rules.” It was pretty clearly stated in the flashback to their initial meeting that Jefferson’s then-Dom had *surpassed* certain lines (such as wounding certain areas of the body which could lead to internal damage or beyond-average harm). I think that though John begins in this chapter by slapping Jefferson in the face, it’s a prelude to *safe* play, not something that’s going to be detrimental to Jefferson’s health or safety.
While I’d love to see a spanking, and I can stand that back-whipping we’ve been shown, I’m personally not very fond of face-slapping. But Jefferson clearly is – I believe it’s something about that sense of being degraded, in addition to pain, that works for him. And John knows that, playing by terms that are within Jefferson’s limits. Starting the session by entering his superior role overJefferson. So yeah, I share your feelings a bit here, but that’s just me having different preferences than our two friends here.
Face-slapping is so powerfully personal and culturally charged. In writing, theater, movies, (and real life), it’s generally depicted as the ultimate chastisement/rejection for absolutely disgusting behavior. It’s on my black list because I personally can’t stand anything touching my face, but I could imagine how sexy it would be to have all that cultural power tied up in one sharp moment in a scene.
Look at all these comments and learning and debate!
I actually like coming back to older pages just to read the comments, as the people learning and reacting to Tab’s writing is something extra to love about this comic.
Heck, I am ahead on patreon and come here just to read comments!
