The current plan is actually to make a beautiful children’s style picture book, with a big poster for a map of Alphabet soup land.

These comics are perfection. And I don’t normally like comics. You are REALLY witty and talented.
Of all the minority monsters I’ve seen, Sir Fabulous is my FAVE! Also, will you be making shirts for the other monsters (I get a feeling I’ll love Clive the cross dressing centaur, just as much as Sir Fabulous ^_^).
And another question (I’m sorry if it sounds stupid, but I’m a little nervous); I’ve never bought anything online before, much less from another country (I live in the US). Would I still be able to buy a Sir Fabulous shirt even though its in pounds?

Buying in pound is easy- you just check out as normal and paypal converts it automatically even if you’re checking out with a card and don’t have a paypal account.
I found this site from the EscherGirls blog, and I am in love with the minority monsters (not least of which because I, um, relate to several of them) and can’t wait for more! I would buy the children’s-style book you have planned in a heartbeat.

I’m a little embarrassed to ask, but could someone pronounce ‘Mx’ for me? I’m saying it ‘mix’, like ‘mixing bowl’, but I’m pretty sure that’s not right.
I pronounce it like Mix-ter
There isn’t really a consensus far as I know. Back when it was originally conceived the idea was supposedly to pronounce it “Mux”. “Mix” and “Mixter” seem to both be used, but they carry the problems of both being rather close to either Ms. or Mr. and the risk of sounding like either one in normal-paced conversation. In my head I use “Max” because that’s what I’d be more comfortable being called. I’m still trying to come up with a suffix for that so it doesn’t sound like a name though.
I don’t suppose us agenders can get a monster that we actually identify with, please..?
Professor Puce seems to fit the stereotype that we ‘thought our way out of gender’. That’s not the usual agender experience, and in fact it plays into an unwelcome stereotype of us. Sort’ve our equivalent to the one Rev. T #2 addresses.
I mean, I knew mostly when I realized that the gendered behavior of my assigned gender baffled and repelled me, and that identifying myself as that gender sounded hollow and untrue – but that I didn’t feel any draw toward the other end of things either. It wasn’t an intellectual thing, and i’m way too confused by how bizarre the two genders even act to feel like i’m some sort of all knowing type.. why would people assume I have the master decoder ring to it all?
A big intellectual lecture on gender identity doesn’t describe my experience. My experience is “Guys are crazy, I don’t know why they’re doing that loony stuff, don’t lump me in with them. Girls are crazy, I don’t know why they’re doing that loony stuff, don’t lump me in with them.” and “Ugh, I have big *insert secondary sexual characteristic here*, that’s awkward and everybody is going to quit treating me like a person because they see it.” I’m sure you could do something like that with Puce somehow, just.. that’s not what’s there now.
I’m writing something at the moment, but it’s very hard to make something which is light hearted and funny. I’ll do what I can but this one might be a bit too difficult to get across in a comic!
Dunno, it’s just the mirror image of what you managed with Mx. Alex really. Alex flips between wanting to be masculine and wanting to be feminine; I just cringe a bit at being very much of either.
Maybe delivering some of Monarch’s potion somewhere and being annoyed by people gendering them female, but they didn’t take it because they aren’t a guy? (or the reverse) Neither fish nor fowl? Maybe a satyr in disguise so they won’t get dragged into that whole nymph and flute thing? (“I mean, nymphs are fun and all, but the whole flute chase thing just makes no sense at all! I don’t even know how to play this thing.”)

I like this series, any chance of one about a trans girl.? It get’s kinda frustrating seeing trans guys constantly be the ‘face’ of being trans.

So…. I love your comics! And LGBTQ+ representation. I was wondering if you’d do a minority monster who is either demi-female or demi-male? Meaning they identify partly, mostly, or enough with either female or male that they are fine with gendered pronouns. You can research if you don’t know what demigender is…
I really think the main character guy should end up being one of the minorities in the end. Could you also do a biromantic monster?
